RECETA PARA UN CUERPO QUE SON MUCHOS CUERPOS

Natasha Barhedia (Guadalajara)

Recipe for a body that is many bodies is an exercise in cooking, performativity and correspondence. Through a questionnaire, designed to identify the "symptoms" of the participating bodies from a sensory reflection, a selection of 30 responses will be made.

These questionnaires will function as a starting point to generate a "diagnosis" that allows the artist to create 30 personalized recipes; playing with the idea of prescription as a medical prescription to the symptom and as an instruction for cooking food.

The recipes will result in a dish specially designed for the person presenting the symptom (s), being experiences designed from the choreography.

The preparation of the dish will involve different forms of interaction with the objects or ingredients (edible or not), this interaction being practical, idiotic, cathartic, comforting or useless.

Once the recipes are designed, the artist will send the list of ingredients to the participants and the instructions to generate the dish (the process of preparing it being the choreography or therapy, and the product, a chiqueo). Objects, elements or movements will be used as material with which to work from the body.

A selection will be made of 15 participants from Guadalajara and 15 participants from other cities.

Sending form for diagnosis from September 29, until October 15
